DFG funding for cooperation project to apply epigenome editing of parkinson disease related genes
In a new DFG funded cooperation project between Prof. Albert Jeltsch at the Institute for Biochemistry and Technical Biochemistry at University of Stuttgart and PD Dr. Julia Schultze-Hentrich at Tübingen University Hospital, methods are to be developed to shut down genes involved in Parkinson's syndrome by means of epgenome editing. The aim is to examine the fundamentals of a possible new therapy approach.
