From Stuttgart main station
You will arrive at Stuttgart main station. Follow the green "S-Bahn" signs (the S-Bahn station is one level below the train station) and take one of the trains "S1", "S2" or "S3" (direction "Vaihingen", "Herrenberg", "Böblingen", or "Flughafen") until you reach the station "Universität" (4^th stop). Leave the station by the stairs near the rear of the train.
Don't forget to buy a "S-Bahn" ticket. There are ticket machines at every station. You have to press "002" for 2 zones. If you travel in a group, you can buy a group ticket (called "Tageskarte") which is valid for 5 persons.

From Stuttgart Airport
At the airport follow the green "S-Bahn" signs (the "S-bahn" station is below the airport buildings). Take one of the trains "S2" or "S3" (directions "Schorndorf" or "Backnang"). Leave the train at station "Universität". Leave the station by the stairs near the front of the train.
Don't forget to buy a "S-Bahn" ticket. There are ticket machines at every station. You have to press "002" for 2 zones. If you travel in a group, you can buy a group ticket (called "Tageskarte") which is valid for 5 persons.

Once you have reached the S-Bahn stop "Universität" please follow the directions given below.

Now that you have arrived at the S-Bahn station "Universität" (1) you head left until you see the library. Walk along the library building and keep left. Walk through the underpass until you see a bridge over a street.

Walk over that bridge (there is a small lake at your right). Now you have reached (2) in the small map. Directly after the bridge, turn left, cross another bridge, and go straight ahead for about 200 meters.

At the crossing (3), turn right and follow this way for another 300 meters.

Now you can see the Center of Bioprocess Engineering (4). Inside the building are signposts which direct you to our department.
