In a publication in the American Chemical Society journal "Biochemistry", we investigate the interaktion of the Dnmt2 RNA Methyltransferase with its tRNA-Asp substrate. We identify the tRNA binding pocket and found amino acids that are involved in tRNA recognition. Our results will help to understand the reaction mechanism and biological role of this enyzme.
